The Holiday Twin is pleased to announce our first “Live at the Drive-In” simulcast on Thursday, June 19th.
We have loads of food and entertainment in the line up for that evening. We’ll be serving a delicious Cuban pulled pork plate, along with our regular hand-crafted burgers and bratwurst. We’re planning on a live steel drum band for pre-show entertainment. After the show we plan to show a beach themed movie!
We have a few other surprises in the works! Check back often as details will be announced as they are confirmed.
The show will be broadcast via simulcast from the Coyote Drive-In Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas. Our start time will be at 9:05 pm. The gates will open at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are available on-line at www.Margaritaville.com.
Spidey has arrived! Literally the movie came in to the theatre today
The first weekend in May is always a big movie opening for us and we’re certainly hoping the weather will cooperate.
This year we’ve decided to open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights now through May 18th. Starting Memorial Day Weekend, May
23rd, we’ll be open every night.
Our line-up for this coming weekend is as follows:
Screen 1: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with co-hit RoboCop. Both are rated PG-13
Screen 2: Rio 2, rated G and co-hit Captain America:The Winter Soldier, rated PG-13
Showing April 18th & 19th at the Holiday Twin Drive In Theatre. Screen 1: Rio 2, rated G and Divergent, rated PG-13. Screen 2: Captain America:The Winter Soldier and Need For Speed, both features are rated PG-13.
We’re looking forward to warmer weather, how about you?
We’re just a few days away from our opening weekend. We have the final on our movies for the first two nights. Screen 1 will be Captain American: The Winter Soldier, rated PG-13, with co-hit Frozen, rated PG. Screen 2 will be The Lego Movie, rated PG with co-hit, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, rated PG.
Originally we thought Muppets Most Wanted was our feature on screen 2, but they wanted to play with Captain America and we chose Frozen over the Muppets. Even though it’s a much older movie we felt it had more draw than the Muppets and it’s only for one week as the co-hit with Captain America will likely change to Need for Speed on April 11 & 12.
It’s still cold here so it’s hard to imagine that it’s drive-in season … Read More »

There is plenty of activity around the drive-in now as we clean and stock and finish up all the projects that went on in the past month. We had some water line repairs to accomplish and they are almost finished.
We’re hiring a few new employees as well and if you missed the Facebook post interested candidates should … Read More »
The end of our 2013 season is here! Our final two nights of the season will be September 6th and 7th. Our program will not change from the Labor Day Weekend line up. Planes and Despicable Me 2 on screen 1 and We’re the Millers and 2 Guns on screen 2.
We will be offering a couple of specials each night and giving away the majority of the movie posters in the snack bar, come early if you want the good ones
We look forward to a nice break this fall and winter as we re-charge for next season. We’re certainly glad we made the digital conversion this year and hope our fans enjoyed the sharp picture.
Thanks to everyone who made this year great! We appreciate your loyal patronage.
Tonight, August 15th is our last weeknight for the 2013 season. Is everyone ready for school? I remember the mad rush to get ready for school every year. Now with college kids it’s not as hectic, just more expensive
We’re down to weekends only. Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s are you’re only nights to enjoy movies under the stars for the remainder of our season.
Here’s the line up for Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th.
Screen 1: Planes with co-hit Now You See Me
Screen 2: Elysium with co-hit The Conjuring.
The two most anticipated movie openings in August will be playing at the Holiday Twin this weekend. We had to wait an extra day for our film booker to work out the deal but we were able to land both features this week. (Pun intended)
August 9-15th our line-up will be as follows:
Screen 1: Planes with co-hit The Smurfs 2
Screen 2: Elysium with co-hit The Wolverine
Elysium is rated R and we will be playing it first even though Wolverine is rated PG-13. We previewed the film and it’s mostly violence, but not more so than Wolverine to a large degree. It has language as well. With it being the new movie, we decided to play it first despite it’s rating.
The weeknights at the Twin for the 2013 season are quickly coming to … Read More »
It is almost August? WOW! “Where did summer go?”, doesn’t even begin to describe how fast this season has gone by. Normally by the first part of August we’re winding down around here. This year, not so much. We have a number of special events in August, as I talked about in my earlier post. We’re focusing a lot of our energy on those events and also considering staying around weekends only in September.
A number of factors affect our decision. First, what will the film line-ups look like? If the pictures are poor, so goes the business. Second, we need to consider CSU’s home football schedule. Saturday afternoon and evening games drastically affect our ability to manage our traffic flow and the stadium lights completely wash out the … Read More »
