Last Weeknight This Season

Tonight, August 15th is our last weeknight for the 2013 season. Is everyone ready for school? I remember the mad rush to get ready for school every year. Now with college kids it’s not as hectic, just more expensive :)

We’re down to weekends only. Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s are you’re only nights to enjoy movies under the stars for the remainder of our season.

Here’s the line up for Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th.

Screen 1: Planes with co-hit Now You See Me
Screen 2: Elysium with co-hit The Conjuring.

See you at the movies!

We drive up from Denver several times every summer and I gotta tell you, you guys are just the best!

Thanks for keeping a really special little piece of Americana alive in Colorado. And thanks for the grilled garlic burgers. We love the friendly community atmosphere and the excellent customer service.

We look forward to many more summers of great movies and good times.

I love the holiday twin, I have been bringing my family for years and we look forward to the opening every summer. Being able to see the “movies under the stars” is the best end to a summer night in Colorado! The snack bar is great, prices are great, and the staff is always friendly. Two thumbs up to the Holiday Twin.

Best business to spend money at, and we will continue to do so every year!

We love the drive in. We are seniors and you can’t beat 3 dollars each. Kinda disappointed in line up this year but understand young folks go more than oldsters. Good luck and keep it up.

I haven’t been to a drive-in since I was a pup. Out of curiosity, how long do you usually run films? I’m trying to get out for “Now You See Me”, but this coming weekend (the 23rd) is a bit complicated for me. Will it still be around by next Friday?

I don’t know if we will keep Now You See Me just yet. It’s not likely, however. We usually try to change up co-hit every two weeks. We’re open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so maybe you can make it one night!

Joy, as of now we plan to run the 6th and 7th of September, then shut down. But….we may stay around one more weekend if there is good business and the films are good.

I see that you plan on being open thru Sept.6th-7th; as stated above Planes and Now You See Me will be playing until Aug. 18th. What movies will you finish out the season with? We love coming down from Cheyenne and would like to have one more night at the drive-in this summer.

Stormie, we will have info on each weekend the Monday prior. We’re hoping for a retro weekend on the 6 & 7…so stay tuned. If you’re a facebook fan you’ll here there, otherwise I’ll be posting the info on our blog each Monday. Thanks for making the drive to support the Holiday Twin :)

That’s too bad, I was hoping you’d be open weekends through the end of September to catch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2

How much do you charge per speaker? Are they from the ’50′s?! I have a 12 year old that would love a bit of nostalgia! Thank you!

Right now we’re planning on closing on September 7th. That will be the last night for the season. However, if we have a strong showing and feel that the movies will hold up we may go for one more weekend.

Are you guys going to be open tomorrow, September 1st? We wanted to get one more movie in before letting summer go. Thanks!

I’m so glad you’re able to keep the drive-in open and I’m impressed to hear of so many folks driving from out of town. You do a terrific job with the services and I think you do a fine job of balancing the types of movies you show. I grew up in Fort Collins so I have lots of great memories at your drive-in theatre. Thank you and keep up the good work. I appreciate your blog.

I am still a little unclear. Are you showing Planes and DM2 today on Labor Day holiday? 7 pm?
