The Dark Knight Rises at Midnight Thursday plus weekend line-up

The Final installment of the iconic Batman trilogy rocks!  It is sure to rock the Twin at midnight Thursday.  What’s not to love? Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Morgan Freeman headline the fantastic cast.  To get your juices flowing follow the trailer link on our site.

The plan for Thursday night is as follows: Screen 1 will be Ice Age: Continental Drift with co-hit Brave.  Then we will clear the field, with the exception of those who have paid in advance for the Dark Knight, and then let those lined up in the driveway enter.  If you prefer you can watch Screen 2: The Amazing Spider Man and co-hit Men in Black 3.  Screen 2 viewers can also cross over and watch The Dark Knight, but will pay a separate admission as well.  You can pay advance at the box office!  Keep your tickets.  We’ll be checking tickets prior to the movie start.  Screen 2 viewers will wait to cross over until Brave is over and the field is cleared.

Friday, Screen 1 will be The Dark Knight Rises.  We will have intermission and play The Dark Knight Rises a second time.  Screen 2 will be Ice Age: Continental Drift with co-hit The Amazing Spider Man.

This line-up will play through Thursday, July 26th.

We’re at the halfway point this week in our season.  It’s always hard for me to believe every year!  To date we’ve had a great season and are looking forward to a few more great weekends before we say audios to the 2012 season at the Twin.

See you at the movies!

Yep, one movie for $7 or you can pay more at an indoor house and see just one movie. It will be that way for at least a week until the film rent comes down and we can afford a co-hit.

I don’t mean to sound rude, but why is Batman playing twice on the same screen? Can’t I just watch the first showing on Screen one and then go to Screen two for Spider-Man?

We can’t play a second feature with Batman. The cost for this movie is 80% of the ticket price. A second feature will cost at least 10% and our margin for profitability is too thin. So we chose to offer the movie twice on the weekends and wait for the film rent to reduce in the weeks that follow and then offer a second feature. It was either that or pass on the Batman film, which we would not do.

Why not play Batman on one screen with Spiderman & Ice Age with Batman 2nd on the other?

Thank you so much for showing Batman!! $7 is a great deal, and we are pumped to see this film and support the Holiday Twin at the same time. We love the drive-in and all the fun times you have provided us. Fort Collins is lucky to have you!

Are you showing Batman this coming weekend (July 27-28)? The website and phone recording only list the movies through this Thursday. Thanks!
